One of the biggest challenges that many women face is to truly value their self-worth. They give selflessly to others, yet often think it wrong to want things for themselves. Sometimes they find it hard to love themselves.
I understand just how they feel, because I have felt that way myself. This is a picture of me when I felt that way. I am a mother of four fantastic children and I have a very loving husband, and we lived a comfortable life, yet, inspite of all these great blessings, it was hard to think positively about myself. I thought I was unloveable because of how I looked. Oh, I knew that God loved me, and that my husband loved me, but deep down I really couldn't BELIEVE it.
And, if you can't believe it, you really can't receive it.
When I finally focused my efforts to change how I thought about myself, I began to see results. I started to reshape my body and my life. I gained self confidence. I completed over 120 hours of instruction in life and wellness coaching and received my international coaching certification. I even launched my own company to help other women achieve their greatest potential.
And I began to conquer my fears. One of my biggest fears was speaking in public. I was always the shy, quiet one in the back of the room. Here is a picture of me at the Take Off Pounds Sensibly international conference where I gave a talk to over 3000 people after receiving the international award for charm and beauty. That is a far cry from the woman standing on the dock!
